| Irene: | It's funny that these schools-- these schools that the-- the new schools that they're building, they don't have pools. You think they would put a swimming pool in. |
| Interviewer: | It's the-- they've one in Stranraer-- |
| Hugh: | There's even-- there's even-- even talk of them closing Maybole swimming pool now. They close that, where do the kids from here go for a swim, Ayr? It's the closest swimming pool. Or Girvan, the other way, which is further. |
| Irene: | I-- No, I think they've closed Girvan already. |
| Interviewer: | Wait, they've closed Maybole? |
| Hugh: | They're talking about closing Maybole. |
| Interviewer: | Why? 'Cause nobody's going? |
| Hugh: | I don't know. No idea. |
| Irene: | Oh, I think it's well attended, Maybole. It's probably money. |
| Hugh: | But there's always been talk about that golf course being turned into a houses and if that's the case then the pool'll go and-- But the other argument-- I've heard people say that they can't do that because that golf course belongs to the Maybole folk, it doesn't belong to the council. |
