Interviewer: Have you ever been out in Inverness?
Aaron: I go out quite a bit actually. I think last time we went out, er, was for my mate's birthday. That was on-- it actually fell on Mad Friday and it was far too busy. I had to go home, I just didn't like it at all.
Interviewer: Was it?
Aaron: Well, I'm just usually used to going up to the bar and get a drink, don't need to wait for anything
Interviewer: Yeah, yeah, no queueing.
Aaron: but I was queueing for about five, 10 minutes and I was like "no, d'you want to go home?"
Shannon: It's the same as me, I get frustrated waiting for like two minutes.
Aaron: Yeah.
Interviewer: Yeah, there's a club in Edinburgh we, like-- I have waited over half an hour for a drink on a number of occasions.
Shannon: I just wouldn't-- I just would go home.
Aaron: Yeah.
Interviewer: Yeah I guess, like, Mad Friday in Inverness though would actually be really busy 'cause if everyone from, like,
Aaron: Aye it was.
Shannon: Yeah.
Interviewer: Brora and Golspie and Dornoch and Alness and Invergordon goes through.
Aaron: Mhm.
Shannon: Yeah.
Aaron: Mhm.
Shannon: It's-- it's actually really busy all the time in Inverness really, though.
Aaron: Yeah it is.
Shannon: Like, on nights out and that it is actually genuinely very busy but it's just that, like, because so many people spread out it's actually not too bad but then when there's something on it's just like boom.
Aaron: Mhm, mhm.
Interviewer: Yeah, can imagine 'cause it's quite small.
Shannon: Yeah, it's a bit crazy but it's all good.

Annie: And they all had big voices. My grandfather had a voice, you would hear it miles away.
Interviewer: Yeah?
Annie: Boom.
James: That's 'cause they couldn't phone each other, they had to shout.
Annie: They didn't need a phone. You would hear them. That's why they did have voices.
Interviewer: Yeah.
Annie: Because if he was working in a field maybe half a mile away from the house and "give me a shout when the dinner's ready" or whatever. You needed to shout.
