| Aaron: | "Would you like a cup of coffee?" That's what they say. |
| Zoe: | "Coffee. Coffee." What? |
| Interviewer: | I got, eh, my pal from Glenrothes to say that she was going for a coffee in McDonald's in Glenrothes. She said "I'm going for a coffee in McDonald's in Glenrothes." That is magic, she was like "why you wanting me to say that?" I was like "just good fun." |
| Zoe: | Sounds like Gary Tank Commander. "Coffee". |
| Aaron: | I've got a boy from Fife at my work. He speaks just-- he's a strong Fifer. |
| Interviewer: | Really? Whereabout's he from? |
| Aaron: | Leven. |
| Interviewer: | Oh, that's exactly where these two are from actually, I was saying Glenrothes but they're from Leven. What's his name? |
| Aaron: | [name] |
| Interviewer: | Mhm, I want to see if they know him. They probably will, it's a small enough place. |
| Aaron: | I don't know who-- |
| Interviewer: | They're probably related. |
| Zoe: | They're-- |
| Aaron: | I've no idea, they might. |
| Zoe: | Population of five. |
| Aaron: | He's quite a quiet boy. |
| Zoe: | I don't know who that is. |
| Interviewer: | Aye, that's them, eh. |
| Zoe: | Fife. I'm so bad if someone's got an accent I'll just be like "that's a weird--" I wouldn't know where you're from. Like, I just don't, yeah. Well that-- the wifie I did her hair earlier on that did the linguistics thing, eh, she was on about like where her Mum and Dad were from or whatever and she said-- what did she say? She was on about al veeners-- al wiedersehen pet-- auf wiederse-- whatever. |
| Interviewer: | Yeah. |
| Zoe: | She's like the guy from there, was he from-- he's a Brummie. |
| Interviewer: | Right. |
| Zoe: | And then she said, was it Wolverhampton? Oh, I can't even remember. And I was, like, so confused. In my head I'm like "what's a Brummie sound like?" And then a Geordie and then-- oh my God, no. |
| Interviewer: | Aye, all the different names. |
| Zoe: | I'm just like "that's an accent, you've got an accent, nice accent." I wouldn't know where you were from. It's like Manchester and all that. They all sound the same. |
