Interviewer:
Yeah.
Steven:
but make it my own at the same time.
Interviewer:
Ah, okay.
Steven:
Like All Summer Long by Kid Rock.
Interviewer:
Aye, that's quite interesting.
Steven:
It is.
Interviewer:
Because it's like--
Steven:
As much as I kind of want to be like "can I not just write my own songs?",
Interviewer:
Yeah.
Steven:
it's kind of interesting getting weird kind of--
Interviewer:
Aye 'cause it's-- it's different. It's not just, kind of, them giving you a basic assignment, it's something, kind of, round about.
Joe:
What song are you gonna pick, but?
Interviewer:
Abstract.
Steven:
I dunno.
Interviewer:
Spit it out.
Steven:
I was gonna do-- I was gonna do, eh, All Star by Smashmouth.
Joe:
Oh aye, dae that.
Steven:
Well, at first I was gonna do Moonlight Sonata. I came up with a really funky-- It was like the chords of Moonlight Sonata with, like, a funk bass line to it, it was amazing. But
Joe:
You're a weirdo.
Steven:
I dunno if I'm gonna go with that.
Older speakers
Colin:
That was like yesterday, they're saying that Judge Rinder was on and-- Was that the one yesterday? The lassie had an accident wi her motor. Anyway, her mother had taen her oot and she had an accident, she hit a wall. Instead of hitting the breaks she hit the wall. And they were on about money. And I'm sitting and laughing to mysel before she comes in. I says "I wonder if I should say to her when she comes in, eh, "I'm gonna see Judge Rinder about the money you owe me, because you owe me a fortune.""
Mary:
She just laughs at [name].
Colin:
I said "I think I'll-- I think I'll claim a million." She just-- she just-- just off her, just, like, say it for a carry on.
