Daniel: I had just got my second job and we got-- I'd just been paid and we were like that "right we don't want to go to Propaganda or somewhere we've been we'll try somewhere different." And somebody had told me that that Shimmy was good so we were like "aye, we'll go in there" and honestly I swear to God the ceiling is just-- just above my hair and eh-- So we went in and then we just seen they had like a bottle of vodka sitting that you could-- so you could buy it .
Interviewer: 90 quid.
Daniel: Uh, £80 I think it was.
Interviewer: Was it?
Liam: Youse didnae, did youse?
Interviewer: Oh aye, too right we did.
Daniel: Aye-- we were like that "well--"
Liam: £90?
Interviewer: Aye.
Liam: You serious?
Interviewer: Aye.
Daniel: We were like that "well we've--"
Liam: What, was that the only drink yous had all night though?
Daniel: No, but listen right-- so we were like that-- we thought-- we says "right, well we're gonna spend money all night anyway."
Liam: Aye, but see even added up that's still dearer though .
Daniel: No it's no because--
Liam: How-- how dear was it for a half?
Daniel: Right, listen.
Interviewer: No, 'cause see for-- see for the first round we went in when we got in it it was like 20 quid .
Liam: Was it?
Daniel: Aye.
Liam: Really?
Interviewer: Eh, four halfs and four shots or something like that--
Daniel: But then we were like that "right so they're going to put water in it, ice" and it's just-- it's thing-- watered down anyway, so.
Interviewer: We were already smashed before we went in
Daniel: Oh.
Interviewer: 'cause it was £1.50 pints in the Union.
Daniel: Aye, we were about five or six pints deep anyway, so.
Interviewer: You-- he-- he was taking shots of vodka man.
Liam: Right-- right £45 each, that's alright I suppose. I'd probably spend mare than that anyway so it's no that bad.
Interviewer: It is bad .
Liam: Right, anyway, continue wi your story .
Daniel: So we got the bottle and-- and they gave us two mixers free so he had one cola and I had--
Interviewer: Was it not Fanta or something?
Daniel: Aye, lemonade and we just had the bottle
Interviewer: We polished it.
Daniel: and honestly we've-- I've never been as drunk all my life.

Interviewer: No, one-- one sting fae one-- one insect and that's you, done. No, I like Scotland where it's a wee bit hot sometimes and cold and there's nay poisonous insects.
Alan: Well your gran and I, you know, we go on the-- the cruises and the reason we go on the cruise ships is you get mosquitoes-- very rarely, you get them out through the day.
Interviewer: Mhm.
Alan: And the boats all sail about six- six o' clock at night.
Interviewer: Mhm.
Alan: And they're going out to sea afore the mosquitoes come out, afore the humidity changes for to bring them oot. So you're seeing nay mosquitoes oot there.
Interviewer: Oh that's quite good, that.
Alan: So it's-- that's sailing all night. You, wining and dining and dancing and yoking and joking and drinking and away to your bed, you wake up the next morning, it's sitting in a different port. You never even feel it going into the port.
